ASPEK Engineering's headquarters is located in Ankara Yenimahalle; we provide services for fire detection, suppression, pump and sprinkler maintenance throughout all of Ankara same-day scheduling and free site survey and we provide service throughout Turkey with the same organization.
Our center is located in Beştepe, Yenimahalle district in Ankara. The densest area of maintenance and periodic inspection services we provide throughout Turkey is naturally Ankara: our team, warehouse, and service vehicles are based in this city. This page answers the specific questions most frequently asked by facility managers in Ankara — where do you come, how long does it take, what do you inspect, what documents do I receive.
Being Ankara-Based Has Concrete Implications
Companies with centers in other cities also use the phrase "we serve Ankara"; the difference emerges in the logistics behind that phrase. For us, Ankara is not a service region but the location of our office and warehouse. This has three measurable implications:
- Same-day scheduling. Site surveys and malfunction requests within Ankara are scheduled into the program the same day most days; our team is already in the field in the city, eliminating inter-city travel and accommodation planning.
- Site surveys within Ankara are free of charge. We do not quote without seeing; and seeing comes at no cost. The site survey produces a system inventory, and the quote is written based on this inventory.
- Spare parts on the shelf. Our catalog contains over 9,000 fire safety products; for items most frequently replaced in maintenance such as batteries, detectors, sirens, buttons, and pressure switches, supply time depends on our warehouse rather than courier delivery.
Which Parts of Ankara Do We Serve?
Short answer: all of it. From office buildings and public structures in Çankaya and Söğütözü to manufacturing facilities in Yenimahalle, Etimesgut, and Sincan; from schools and residential projects in Keçiören, Mamak, and Altındağ to factories in Gölbaşı, Kahramankazan, and Elmadağ — we work in all districts of the metropolitan area. Distant districts such as Polatlı, Beypazarı, and Haymana are also included in the service plan; visits to these areas are coordinated with other work on the same route, and the road cost is not borne by a single customer alone.
The bulk of our work is in the industrial sector. From workshop-scale manufacturing facilities in OSTİM and İvedik OSB to large factories in Başkent OSB, ASO 1st and 2nd OSB, and Polatlı OSB, Ankara's organized industrial zones are the places we are most frequently in the field. Maintenance in OSBs has its own specific requirements: opening a maintenance window without halting production, conducting hot work permits in coordination with the operator, notifying OSB fire services in advance during testing. These are not exceptions for us but weekly routine.
What Types of Facilities Do We Serve in Ankara?
The structure of maintenance is determined by the facility type as much as by the system. The most frequent facility types we work with in Ankara and the critical point in maintenance for each:
| Facility type | Critical maintenance topic | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Hospital | System never stops; operations are planned by zone, evening, and weekend | Hospital solutions |
| Shopping Malls | Announcement and evacuation scenario tests are conducted after closing hours | Shopping mall solutions |
| Hotels | Room-by-room detector testing is conducted floor by floor according to occupancy | Hotel solutions |
| Factory | Planning according to production window; detector maintenance in dusty and high-ceiling areas | Factory solutions |
| Warehouse and storage facility | High-rack warehouse sprinkler and in-rack protection control | Warehouse solutions |
| Public building and data center | Gas suppression is predominant; inspection file and document management are primary | Data center solutions |
Frequency also varies by facility: in high-volume and critical facilities such as hospitals, maintenance contracts are structured with monthly, quarterly, or four-monthly visits in practice; in many workplaces, six-monthly or annual visits suffice. This is not a standard requirement but a decision made jointly during the site survey based on operational risk. How the scope is structured is explained in detail maintenance contract on that page.
What Systems Do We Maintain?
Our distinguishing feature is that we manage both mechanical and electronic aspects from a single source — the scope is the same in Ankara as throughout Turkey:
- Fire detection and alarm systems — addressable and conventional panels, detectors, siren line
- Fire pump groups — electric, diesel, and jockey pumps; establishment of weekly test procedures
- Sprinkler systems — wet, dry, and pre-action networks
- Fire hose cabinets and hydrant networks
- Gas suppression systems — FM-200 and Novec 1230; maintenance and refilling process
- CO₂ and inert gas systems
- Foam suppression systems
- Hood suppression systems — in every facility with a kitchen
- Portable fire extinguisher maintenance and refilling
- Emergency lighting and signage
We distinguish between the source of obligation and the source of frequency, because this is the most confused subject in the field: maintenance obligation stems from BYKHY Articles 84 and 100; the regulation does not itself prescribe the period but refers to the standard applicable to the system. Frequency is determined by TS EN 12845 in sprinklers and pumps, TS CEN/TS 54-14 in detection, TS ISO 14520 in gas systems, and the manufacturer's maintenance manual. For the record format to be used in inspection, periodic inspection forms page.
One must be honest about gas system cylinders: no company refills FM-200, Novec, or CO₂ cylinders in its own workshop; refilling is done at a certified refilling facility for this purpose. What we undertake is the entire process — cylinder disassembly, shipping, post-refill assembly, commissioning, and document delivery to you. Details: see the cylinder filling and hydrostatic testA zone monitoring module connects an entire conventional detector line to the addressable loop. Critical areas are renewed with addressable devices while secondary zones continue to operate with their existing wiring. This provides significant cost advantage in capacity upgrade and renovation projects.
Let us clarify another distinction: in facilities that have periodic inspection performed by a Type A inspection body, the body, due to impartiality, cannot itself remedy the deficiency it finds itself. We are not an inspection body; we are the party that performs maintenance and eliminates the non-conformity appearing in the inspection report, bringing the system back to test-ready condition. The two roles complement each other and must not be confused.
Ankara Hub, Planned Service to 81 Provinces
Ankara is the center of this organization, not its boundary. We work under a single contract with enterprises whose headquarters is in Ankara but whose factory, warehouse, or branch is in other cities: the scope, check items, and report format are the same at every facility, and central management evaluates facilities by the same measure. How out-of-city planned maintenance and malfunction organization works is explained Technical service throughout Turkey on that page.
For Site Survey
If the brand, age, or last maintenance record of the system at your facility is unclear, that is not a problem; the first step is inventory determination. Survey is free within Ankara and most requests are scheduled into the program the same day. From the contact page, you can reach write or directly You can call the number. On the product side, our complete product catalog, including the fire detection catalog , is available online at .
Ankara Zone by Zone
We have prepared separate pages for areas where we work intensively: Ostim–İvedik OSB (in the same district as our center), Sincan–ASO 1st OSB line and Çankaya–Kızılay office district. We also have a separate page for site and apartment management.
Legal Basis for This Maintenance
Regulation on Fire Protection of Buildings (BYKHY) maintenance of fire safety systems is defined not as an optional improvement, but as an obligation incumbent upon the building owner and administrator :
- Article 84 — Emergency lighting, signage, and fire detection and alarm systems shall be subject to periodic inspection, testing, and maintenance as required by the system specified in the applicable standards, under the responsibility of the building owner and administrator or the building official to whom they have delegated responsibilities in writing.
- Article 100 — Fire suppression systems shall be subject to periodic inspection, testing, and maintenance as required by the system specified in the applicable standards, under the responsibility of the building owner, administrator, or the building official to whom they have delegated responsibilities in writing is a requirementA zone monitoring module connects an entire conventional detector line to the addressable loop. Critical areas are renewed with addressable devices while secondary zones continue to operate with their existing wiring. This provides significant cost advantage in capacity upgrade and renovation projects.
The common aspect of both articles is this: the regulation does not prescribe the period itself, but defers it to the standard applicable to the system. In other words, maintenance frequency is determined not by the regulation, but by the standard for which the system was designed (TS EN 12845 for sprinklers, TS EN 54 series for detection, TS ISO 14520 for gas systems) and the manufacturer's own manual. A specification that says "the regulation requires this frequency" has established its basis incorrectly.
The Ministry's regulation guide explicitly requires retention of these records: information, documents, and records related to inspections, maintenance, and tests must be kept in a secure place by the building owner, administrator, or responsible party for submission to relevant authorities in any emergency. Maintenance being performed is not enough; it must be documented that it was performed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which districts of Ankara do you service?
All of them. In central districts such as Çankaya, Yenimahalle, Keçiören, Etimesgut, Sincan, Mamak, Altındağ and Gölbaşı, scheduling is typically done same-day; visits to distant districts such as Polatlı, Beypazarı and Haymana are coordinated with other jobs on the same route.
Do you work in industrial parks?
Yes. OSTİM, İvedik OSB, Başkent OSB, ASO 1st and 2nd OSB and Polatlı OSB are among the regions where we are most frequently present in the field. Scheduling maintenance windows without stopping production, hot work permits and coordination with OSB fire services during testing are standard parts of the job.
Is same-day site survey possible?
In Ankara, yes on most days. Since our team and warehouse are in the city, site surveys and emergency breakdown requests are typically scheduled the same day; the exact time is confirmed by phone based on that day's field workload.
Is there a site survey charge?
Site survey is free within Ankara. For facilities outside the city, the site survey is discussed separately before contract, along with the visit plan.
Do you service Istanbul or Izmir?
Yes. Our center is in Ankara but our service organization covers all of Turkey; we conduct planned maintenance, commissioning and breakdown response in 81 provinces including Istanbul and Izmir. Out-of-city operations are explained on our Turkey-wide technical service page.
What documents do I receive after maintenance?
A periodic inspection form, a maintenance report containing the work performed and test results, and a list of identified deficiencies are prepared and handed over to the building management. These records must be retained; maintenance without documentation is considered not performed upon inspection.
We have periodic inspection performed by an inspection body; why should we get maintenance from you?
A type inspection body cannot remedy the deficiency it finds due to impartiality requirements; it provides the report and leaves the solution to you. We are not an inspection body: we are the party that performs maintenance and remedies the non-conformities found in the inspection report, bringing the system back to test-ready condition.
