In Ordu, the main subject of fire maintenance is not the equipment, but the cargo itself inside the warehouse: high-oil-content in-shell hazelnuts, jute sacks, wooden pallets, and shell pile stacks in the yard silently convert a food storage facility into a fuel warehouse. The shell dust from the crushing line renders this picture invisible as well. Our team based in Ankara covers the province through planned tours along the Black Sea coast.
A hazelnut storage facility is a fire load warehouse.
The first question in the maintenance log in Ordu is: how much combustible material is standing in this building? The answer is larger than suspected at most facilities. More than half of in-shell hazelnuts is oil; burlap sacks, wooden pallets, shell piles in the yard are solid fuel with calorific value close to wood. The hazelnut warehouse must be read not as a "food storage" but as an organic fuel stock in fire load calculations. Cracking, screening, and blanching lines add a second layer: shell and blanching dust. This fine dust magnifies three problems simultaneously.
- Ignition: suspended dust cloud can ignite from sparks of a roasting furnace, elevator bearing, or an unauthorized welding job; a layer accumulated on beams behaves like a slowly burning fuse.
- Blind detection: the optical detector's measurement chamber, clogged with dust, appears "sound" in testing, awakens late to real smoke. Maintenance of detection in Ordu begins not with measurement but with disassembly and cleaning.
- Blocked water path: oily dust adheres to the sprinkler deflector and isolates the heat-sensitive element; stacking height rising during season also creates volumes unreached by the nozzle head.
Self-heating of product stacked without moisture reduction inside the pile is a separate issue: when the alarm sounds, what is often seen is not flame but smoke seeping from the center of the stack. Stack arrangement, corridor width, and head–stack distance are measurement rows in the storage report; the entire configuration is in storage and warehouse solutionsA zone monitoring module connects an entire conventional detector line to the addressable loop. Critical areas are renewed with addressable devices while secondary zones continue to operate with their existing wiring. This provides significant cost advantage in capacity upgrade and renovation projects.
Ordu is not made of a single sector
In the Ordu Organized Industrial Zone in Altınordu, more than half of over seventy parcels are devoted to food, and more than ten of these are hazelnut cracking facilities; alongside are flour–feed, confectionery, dairy products, plastic, wood and concrete products operations. Fatsa OSB is the second density center and is expanding; in Ünye the OSB has reactivated, and location has been confirmed for a second OSB on the Altınordu–Ulubey line. Ünye has an additional weight independent of hazelnuts: a cement facility shipping via sea from its own dock. Fish processing and cold storage on the coast, forest products and textile workshops in inner districts complete the picture. One province, four separate checklists.

The support column deliberately bears a standard name: obligation comes from regulation, frequency from standard and manufacturer manual.
Shell boiler and roasting line
In Ordu, hazelnut shell is not waste but fuel. The boiler room, feed auger and ash pan are undocumented risk areas in most projects; backflash in the feed hopper is frequently seen in the field. On the roasting side, the agenda is oil: the inner surface of the exhaust duct is coated with an oil–dust mixture, cleaning interval is determined not by calendar but by soiling rate. Scope separation hood suppression system maintenance, the entire line factory fire safety page.
Accommodation schedule on coast and highlands
Accommodation load operates independently from industry: the Boztepe cable car line and coastal band become crowded during the day, the city fills for hours when a cruise ship docks, the Ordu–Giresun Airport vicinity in Gülyalı empties and fills according to flight schedule. Siren scenario drill is written here to the reservation calendar; wooden-dominant structures in the highlands are addressed before season opening. How and when are we coming to Ordu
We have no branch or service point in Ordu; we tell this with equal clarity to the warehouse manager asking in harvest rush. Our center is in Ankara Yenimahalle; the Black Sea coastal line is covered by planned regional tours. Jobs falling into the same window on the Samsun–Ordu–Giresun axis are lined up in a single trip, bound by written confirmation with date and time. The honest answer is: We do not promise "same-day site visit" for Ordu. That promise is valid only in Ankara where the team and warehouse are based; within Ankara, site visits are also free of charge.
In emergency breakdown, the first step is not to leave: remote preliminary diagnosis is made from the panel screen error code, circuit and address number and field photograph. Dirty detector, broken line-end resistance, or weak battery closes over the phone most of the time; if it does not close, the material to be transported is confirmed before departure. Flow emergency repair service, coverage nationwide service, order at center Ankara maintenance page.
Before the proposal, tell us about the storage and processing line: how many tons of product are where, what equipment is on the cracking line, is roasting being done, is the shell-burning boiler operating. Price variables maintenance pricing page.
Building the contract according to Ordu
- Harvest and shipment intensity shall be written as a date range; visits shall not fall outside that range.
- Detector disassembly–cleaning–sensitivity measurement shall be a separate line item in high dust load sections.
- When stack arrangement changes, the notification obligation shall be defined; rising shelf breaks the sprinkler design assumption.
- Shell boiler room, elevator pit, and aspiration channels shall appear by name in the scope list.
- Report format shall be decided beforehand: measurement value, photograph, and missing items list shall be separate. Example: periodic inspection formsA zone monitoring module connects an entire conventional detector line to the addressable loop. Critical areas are renewed with addressable devices while secondary zones continue to operate with their existing wiring. This provides significant cost advantage in capacity upgrade and renovation projects.
All systems from detection to gas suppression can be gathered in a single contract; facilities that wish can also add CCTV maintenance to the same scope. To Set Up Your Maintenance Program
One contract, a solution for everything: we provide end-to-end maintenance to fire detection, gas suppression, sprinkler, hydrant, and pump units in their entirety; if you wish, camera (CCTV) system maintenance can also be added to the same contract.
If you do not have the brand, age, and last maintenance record of the existing system on hand, that is not a problem; the first step is anyway inventory and current condition assessment. Setting up an annual program without seeing what is there in the field means selling maintenance for a system that does not exist.
You can examine your system brand's product equivalents in our product catalog ; for requirements specific to your facility's use class, you can visit our sectoral solutions pages.
For survey and quotation you can or send your plan through our write or directly You can call call the number. Survey is free within Ankara; for facilities throughout Turkey, the visit plan is established jointly before contract.
Frequently Asked Questions
During harvest season the warehouse is filled to capacity; do we need to empty it for maintenance?
No. We schedule the visit according to your product flow and divide the work in two phases from the start. Items that can be done in a full warehouse — valve inspection, pump test, panel and battery check, external hydrant pressure measurement, emergency lighting test — are completed during the season. Work requiring access, such as ceiling head cleaning and measuring stack-to-head distance, is deferred until the warehouse level drops. These two lists are clarified at the initial meeting, so there are no surprises mid-season.
The detectors on the crushing line get dirty every month; do we need to report a fault each time?
You do not need to report it. In high-dust areas, removal, cleaning, and sensitivity measurement are defined as separate line items in the contract and written into the tour schedule from the start. The permanent solution often involves changing the device type or location; if measurement results indicate this, proposal options are included in the report. For the interim period, we will demonstrate simple checks on-site that your maintenance personnel can perform themselves.
We have a shell-burning boiler and a roasting furnace; are these covered?
If they are listed by name in the scope, they are covered; if not listed, they are not — we state this upfront because these are the two most frequently overlooked points in the field. On the boiler side, the area around the feed auger, ash pan, and hopper mouth carrying flashback risk are separate inspection items. On the roasting side, the inner surface of the exhaust duct is opened and inspected; if a wet chemical system is present, nozzle direction, trigger line, and cylinder condition are checked. Duct cleaning is a separate task; the report documents what is found with photographs.
Can our warehouse in Ünye and our plant in Altınordu be visited on the same trip?
Yes. Ünye–Fatsa–Altınordu are already on a single route; your facilities within the province are scheduled for the same tour day. We arrange the sequence according to your production and shipping hours: which facility in the morning, which one in the afternoon is documented beforehand. We do not create separate route plans for multiple addresses under a single contract; however, reports are prepared separately by address.
We had a failure at night; how quickly can you reach Ordu?
We need to answer this honestly: dispatching a vehicle from Ankara to Ordu means travel time, which is why we do not promise 'we will be there in a few hours.' But you will not be left alone that night. You send the error code on the panel screen, cycle and address number, and field photographs; remote preliminary diagnosis allows the system to be brought to a monitored state, and if you have technical personnel, they are guided step by step. If on-site intervention is necessary, the response is coordinated with the nearest tour window or a separate visit once the spare parts list is finalized.
