Your panel cover may say Notifier, your card may say Honeywell, and your detector may say System Sensor — all three are brands under the same parent company. On this page, we cover products belonging to the Honeywell family on Notifier and Morley-IAS fire alarm panels we explain how periodic maintenance and emergency service are conducted, as well as spare parts and modernization options.
Under the Honeywell umbrella Notifier and Morley-IAS branded fire alarm panels, we undertake periodic maintenance, fault repair, revision, and component replacement. 194 Honeywell and 93 Morley-IAS products are registered in our catalog; the detector, button, module, and siren items that change most frequently in the field are mostly sourced from this stock.
First, Brand Map: If the Panel Shows Notifier, the Card Shows Honeywell
A portion of service requests are resolved by phone before dispatch to the field: the panel cover says Notifier, the card inside says Honeywell, the detector says System Sensor, and building management doesn't know who to contact. The answer is simple: they are all brands under the same roof. Notifier and Morley-IAS are panel brands within Honeywell's fire safety division; System Sensor is also the field device arm of the same family.
| Label | Typical field application | Service significance |
|---|---|---|
| Notifier | Medium and large-scale addressable systems; shopping mall, hospital, campus-type projects | Addressable loop architecture; maintenance and parts plan established per protocol |
| Morley-IAS | DXc series 1–2 loop EN 54 panels, MA/PL series control panels | Works with System Sensor protocol module and detector versions; spare parts availability is high |
| Honeywell | Conventional and XLS smart series; OSID beam, VESDA-E and FAAST air sampling detection | Specialized detection devices enter the same maintenance plan regardless of panel brand |
The practical consequence is this: regardless of which label your panel bears, correct diagnosis begins not from the brand name, but from the panel's protocol and loop architecture . The reason we can service all three brands with a single team is this partnership.
Maintenance Interval: Not "Once a Year," But Tiered Schedule
In the Regulation on Protection of Buildings Against Fire you will not find a fixed maintenance interval figure; this decision is left to the standard to which the system is subject and the manufacturer's documentation. In fire detection, that standard is TS CEN/TS 54-14and it structures maintenance not as a single annual visit, but in separate tiers across day, month, three-month, and yearly scales. Details of the tiers are on fire detection maintenance the page; in dusty and humid facilities, intervals are tightened by contract.
What Do We Check During Maintenance?
On the panel side
- A list of disabled zones, devices, and sirens is extracted; those without justification are restored
- Event log is read — the aim is not to spot a single fault, but to catch the root of a recurring fault
- Configuration backup is taken and added to the facility file; this is what saves the facility in case of card replacement
On loop and field devices
- Loop continuity and ring (A/B) structure are verified, short-circuit isolators are tested
- Smoke detectors are actually triggered with test aerosol; heat detectors are tested with a thermal test device
- Alert buttons are checked with test key, sirens are controlled in-place with sound measurement
- On OSID beam detectors, alignment and contamination compensation; on VESDA-E and FAAST air sampling systems, filter, flow, and tube integrity are inspected
On the power supply side
- Mains is cut off and transfer to battery is tested; battery is load behavior under tested, manufacture date is recorded
- Charger circuit output is measured; batteries that have reached their end of life are reported
Did It Malfunction? Send a Panel Photo, We'll Return With Pre-Diagnosis
Our center is in Ankara Yenimahalle; we have no branch per province. We manage all of Turkey through planned regional tours and remote pre-diagnosis — this model often yields faster results than the "send a vehicle for every fault" approach, because the team goes to the field with the right parts. Send a clear photo of the panel and the error message on the screen or send your plan through our or You can callcall us; we pre-evaluate the fault classification, whether parts are needed, and whether on-site intervention is required, and get back to you. Within Ankara, site inspection is free of charge.
A warning: just because the error message is annoying, disabling a zone or siren and forgetting about it is the most frequent habit we see in the field and the most costly one. Silencing the sound is fine; shutting it down and forgetting is not.[54] Spare Parts and Modernization
Yedek Parça ve Modernizasyon
Morley-IAS DXc series 1 and 2 loop EN 54 panels, MA-1000 control panels, and System Sensor protocol input-output modules are In our catalog in stock. For aging systems, we offer two paths: extending service life through parts replacement, or phased transition — when the panel is renewed, the reusable portion of existing loop cabling is preserved; the facility does not go into complete downtime overnight. With equipment such as CLSS (Connected Life Safety Services) gateway, the existing panel can also be opened to remote monitoring. If you have heard the phrase "the old panel is no longer supported, it must be completely replaced," we recommend getting a second opinion before deciding.
If the facility has sprinkler, gaseous suppression, or emergency announcement in addition to detection, all of it can be consolidated in a single maintenance contract ; on request, we add CCTV maintenance to the same schedule for the facility.
To Set Up Your Maintenance Program
One contract, a solution for everything: we provide end-to-end maintenance to fire detection, gas suppression, sprinkler, hydrant, and pump units in their entirety; if you wish, camera (CCTV) system maintenance can also be added to the same contract.
If you do not have the brand, age, and last maintenance record of the existing system on hand, that is not a problem; the first step is anyway inventory and current condition assessment. Setting up an annual program without seeing what is there in the field means selling maintenance for a system that does not exist.
You can examine your system brand's product equivalents in our product catalog ; for requirements specific to your facility's use class, you can visit our sectoral solutions pages.
For survey and quotation you can or send your plan through our write or directly You can call call the number. Survey is free within Ankara; for facilities throughout Turkey, the visit plan is established jointly before contract.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you an authorized service provider for Honeywell or Notifier?
We do not claim to be an authorized service provider. As ASPEK Mühendislik, we sell Honeywell, Notifier and Morley-IAS products; we provide maintenance, troubleshooting and spare parts services with our own team. For devices within warranty period, we clarify which work falls under warranty coverage before beginning the job; for work covered by warranty, the conditions in the product warranty certificate apply.
Are Notifier and Morley-IAS the same company?
Both are brands within Honeywell's fire safety division; System Sensor is the field device arm of the same family. Even if the name on the panel cover differs, the protocol, field device ecosystem and parts source are shared. The reason we can provide maintenance and troubleshooting service for all three brands with a single team is this commonality.
How is the maintenance interval determined on a Honeywell fire alarm panel?
There is no fixed regulatory number; the benchmark is the TS CEN/TS 54-14 standard and manufacturer documentation. The standard divides maintenance into stages: daily visual inspection of the panel by building personnel, monthly indicator and power supply check, three-monthly function test, and yearly test covering all field devices. The first two stages can be performed in-house; the three-monthly and yearly items are service work. In dusty, humid and heavily-used facilities, these intervals are shortened by contract.
We are outside the city; how does service work?
Our headquarters is in Ankara Yenimahalle; we have no branch offices by province. We manage all of Turkey through planned regional tours and remote pre-diagnosis: you send photos of the panel and error message, we pre-evaluate the fault class and possible spare parts need; the team usually arrives on-site with the correct part. Periodic maintenance is scheduled according to the regional tour calendar; emergency faults are prioritized.
The panel is showing a fault; what should we do first?
Take a clear photo of the message on the display and send it to us without tampering with the panel; we will return with a pre-diagnosis. Silencing the alarm is permitted, but do not disable a zone or siren and leave it disabled — the fault becomes invisible but protection is also lost. Battery-related faults appearing after power outages may self-clear within a few hours; if they do not, the battery may have reached end of life.
Can spare parts be found for an older Notifier or Morley-IAS panel?
Our catalog lists 194 Honeywell and 93 Morley-IAS products; DXc series panels, System Sensor protocol modules and field devices are mostly sourced from stock. When a part cannot be found, instead of dismantling the system overnight, we plan a phased transition: the portion of existing loop cabling that can be preserved is preserved, the cost of renewal and building modifications are significantly reduced.
