In Teletek fire alarm systems, we provide maintenance and fault service to both addressable iRIS and SIMPO lines and conventional Eclipse lines. Since our catalog contains 133 Teletek products, parts that arise during maintenance rarely result in waiting periods. On this page, we explain the scope of Teletek maintenance and where to read the correct service interval.

We provide periodic maintenance, function testing, troubleshooting, and revision service for Teletek fire alarm panels. In our catalog 133 Teletek products are available: from addressed iRIS and SIMPO panels to conventional Eclipse series, and field devices SensoIRIS and SensoMAG. The majority of spare parts needed during maintenance are sourced from this stock.

Panel Silent — Is the System Sound?

The most deceptive state of a fire alarm panel is when it waits without saying anything. A zone disabled during renovation and never re-enabled, a battery silently reaching the end of its life, a detector pushed to the dirt limit — none of these are visible when passing in front of the panel. Because Teletek iRIS panels can read the analog value and dirt status of field devices, most of these questions can be answered by measurement ; maintenance without measurement remains only the phrase "we checked the panel, no problem."

Addressed and Conventional: We Service Both Lines

Teletek is present in the field with two separate product lines and we service both: addressed iRIS/SIMPO systems for large and medium facilities, and conventional Eclipse panels that have been working in small and medium buildings for years.

Conventional panel is not "old technology"; with proper maintenance it performs its duty. We do not recommend converting your Eclipse panel to addressed simply because of its age — renewal becomes a matter only when capacity, addressing requirements, or component life require it, and then it is planned in phases.

Maintenance Period: Not Regulation, Standard Speaks

In the Regulation on Fire Protection of Buildings you will not find a line saying "the alarm panel shall be maintained every so many months"; the frequency decision is given by the standard applicable to the system and the manufacturer's maintenance instructions. For addressed and conventional detection systems such as Teletek, the relevant text is TS CEN/TS 54-14. This text establishes a layered calendar rather than a single annual visit: daily inspection of the panel and monthly inspection of indicators and power supply are tasks that building personnel can undertake; three-monthly function tests and annual comprehensive inspections with field devices tested individually require competent service. In dusty and humid areas the period is tightened. In our contracts we write the period according to this standard and the facility's conditions.

What Is Done in Teletek Maintenance?

  • Deactivation inspection: Maintenance begins by determining what is disabled on the panel; a single forgotten zone can leave those areas unprotected for years.
  • Event log reading: Repeating fault patterns (loose terminals, moisture-absorbing terminals) are caught from the log; on iRIS and SIMPO panels the log is downloaded from the panel.
  • Power supply and battery load test: Transition from mains to battery load behavior under is monitored; voltage measured while mains is present does not reveal a spent battery. Batteries that have reached the end of their life are replaced.
  • Field device testing: Smoke detectors are actually triggered with test aerosol, SensoIRIS and Natron buttons are tested with a test key, sirens and flashers are verified on-site.
  • Loop and zone measurement: The addressed loop ring (A/B) draw is verified and short circuit isolators' operation is confirmed; in conventional zones the end-of-line element and line resistance are measured.
  • Configuration backup and report: Panel setup data backup is placed in the facility file; report contains numbers — device tested, value measured, parts replaced.

Spare Parts: Preventing Maintenance from Becoming Delay

Typical examples of requirements arising in maintenance are clear: battery reaching end of life, detector exceeding dirt limit, broken button glass, input/output module missing for scenario. Because our Teletek catalog covers field devices of both lines, these items are mostly provided without initiating a separate procurement process. Revision work such as loop expansion on a full-capacity iRIS8 panel or adding an iRIS/SIMPO repeater panel at a security point is also performed within the same service arrangement; products from catalog .

If you do not have the brand, age, and last maintenance record of the existing system on hand, that is not a problem; the first step is anyway inventory and current condition assessment. Setting up an annual program without seeing what is there in the field means selling maintenance for a system that does not exist.

Are you an authorized Teletek service provider?

We do not claim to be an authorized service center. We sell Teletek products — we carry 133 items in our catalog — and perform maintenance, fault service, and revision of installed systems. If your device is still under warranty, the conditions set by the manufacturer take priority; we clarify with you before any intervention which items fall under warranty and which under service work.

How often should Teletek panel maintenance be performed?

There is no single mandatory figure; frequency is determined by TS CEN/TS 54-14 to which the system is subject, along with manufacturer documentation. The standard's prescribed schedule is tiered: daily visual inspection of the panel and monthly checks of indicator and power status can be undertaken by building personnel; functional tests every three months and comprehensive checks with individual testing of field devices once yearly require competent service. In dusty and humid facilities, this schedule is tightened.

Our Eclipse conventional panel is old; is maintenance still performed on it, or must we replace it?

You are not required to replace it. The Eclipse series and SensoMAG/Natron field devices are within our service scope, and we stock their parts. Transition to addressable is only considered when capacity, addressing requirements, or component end-of-life necessitate it; in that case, we renew the system gradually rather than overnight.

A fault light is on the panel; what should I do until service arrives?

Do not shut down the panel and do not permanently silence the fault — note the message on the screen as it is or take a photograph. When you report it to us, we perform remote preliminary diagnosis from the event record; in most cases the required part is identified before dispatch. If a zone must be taken offline, keep a record and limit the duration.

We are outside Ankara; do you come for Teletek maintenance?

Yes. Our headquarters is in Ankara Yenimahalle; we do not have branch offices by province; instead we cover all of Turkey with planned regional tours. Single-facility jobs are also scheduled by combining them with other visits in the same region. Since remote preliminary diagnosis is performed for fault reports, technicians travel to site with the necessary parts.

Which parts are replaced during maintenance, and do you bring them with you?

The most frequently replaced items are batteries at end of life, detectors exceeding contamination limits, button covers, and input/output modules added for scenarios. Since our catalog contains 133 Teletek products, the majority of these items are supplied from stock; when remote preliminary diagnosis is performed, probable parts are brought ready in the vehicle.
