Cerberus PRO and Cerberus FIT panels rarely operate alone in corporate facilities: they deliver events to building automation, operate dampers and elevators, trigger gaseous suppression. Therefore, Siemens maintenance is defined not by detector cleaning, but by verification of this entire chain We explain the scope on this page and how the proposal was prepared for your facility.

We provide periodic maintenance, troubleshooting, revision, and integration testing services for Siemens fire detection systems — from Cerberus PRO and Cerberus FIT interactive panels to legacy series collective control centers. In our catalog 152 Siemens products are available; a significant portion of detector, button, and module requirements arising from maintenance can be met without delay.

At the enterprise facility, Siemens: not a panel to be serviced, but a chain

The profile of facilities choosing Siemens Cerberus is clear: general headquarters buildings, data centers, manufacturing campuses, hospitals, logistics centers. At this scale, a fire panel is not a device on its own, but a decision center: it transfers events to building automation via Ethernet connection, with FDCIO input/output modules it closes dampers and sends elevators to ground floor, grants authority to the XC10 suppression control panel for gaseous discharge; in the server room, the FDA221 air sampling system detects smoke minutes before a ceiling detector.

The most common scenario we encounter in the field is this: detectors have been tested, batteries replaced, report signed — but the signal going to building automation has not been verified by anyone in years, and the suppression lockout button has remained pressed since the last alteration. The true question of maintenance is not "is the detector clean," but "does this entire chain behave as designed at the moment of alarm." We structure Siemens maintenance according to this question.

Period: not regulation, but standard speaks

In the Regulation on Protection of Buildings from Fire, do not look for a ready maintenance calendar; the regulation leaves this decision to the technical standards applicable to the facility's system and manufacturer documentation. On the detection side, the measure is TS CEN/TS 54-14: daily visual inspection and monthly indicator and power supply checks can remain with operating personnel; quarterly functional tests and annual comprehensive field testing require qualified service. If the panel also triggers gaseous suppression, wheeled devices must have that line is added to the plan. In areas with no tolerance for downtime such as data centers and manufacturing, we recommend not leaving the period at the standard baseline but binding it to a tightened schedule by contract.

Integration verification: building automation and suppression triggering

Building automation (BMS) line

Events transmitted by Cerberus PRO panels to the upper system are generated during maintenance via representative alarms and each is confirmed to arrive on the automation screen with the correct location tag . Ventilation shutdown, damper closure, elevator lowering, and announcement trigger scenarios are checked one by one from a matrix; connections present on paper but broken in the field are caught this way.

Gaseous suppression triggering

At the XC10 suppression panel, cross-zone verification, discharge delay, DM1103-L initiation and DM1103-S lockout buttons are tested; the discharge chain is tested without gas discharge, the actuator line is separated and tested through to its end. For weight and pressure checks on the cylinder side, please see our gaseous suppression filling and maintenance page. We do not split these two lines across separate companies, as this creates orphaned points in the chain; we unify the entire system from detection to gaseous suppression under a single contract roof; where a facility requires camera (CCTV) maintenance, we add it to the same plan.

If you have a legacy Siemens system

FC120 series collective panels (FC121–FC124) and collective button/detector lines still operate in the field. For these systems, we provide maintenance and fault service; where parts cannot be found, migration to Cerberus FIT or PRO is phased transition planned. The greatest gain in the transition is in cabling: part of the existing route often can be preserved. Complete replacement on the grounds of "no longer supported" is unnecessary expense in most facilities — first, which portion can remain operational must be determined.

Send your facility inventory

We prepare Siemens maintenance quotations from the inventory without a site visit. Send us the following: photo of the panel model label (located inside the cover), loop and device count, if applicable a list of air sampling / linear / flame detectors, number of suppression zones, and a photo of any error screen displayed on the panel. With this documentation we perform remote preliminary diagnosis and clarify scope and duration in the first meeting. Our center is located in Ankara Yenimahalle; surveys within Ankara are free of charge; other provinces are covered by scheduled regional service rounds. You can send the inventory or send your plan through our or You can call reach us from that number.

To Set Up Your Maintenance Program

One contract, a solution for everything: we provide end-to-end maintenance to fire detection, gas suppression, sprinkler, hydrant, and pump units in their entirety; if you wish, camera (CCTV) system maintenance can also be added to the same contract.

If you do not have the brand, age, and last maintenance record of the existing system on hand, that is not a problem; the first step is anyway inventory and current condition assessment. Setting up an annual program without seeing what is there in the field means selling maintenance for a system that does not exist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you an authorized Siemens service provider?

We do not claim to be an authorized service provider; we sell Siemens products and perform maintenance and fault service. Our catalog includes 152 Siemens products and we have field experience with Cerberus PRO, Cerberus FIT, and legacy series collective systems. For devices covered under warranty, we clarify which operations fall within warranty conditions before beginning work.

At what frequency should Cerberus PRO system maintenance be performed?

There is no fixed legal interval; the standard to which the system is subject determines the frequency. The steps prescribed by TS CEN/TS 54-14 are as follows: daily visual inspection and monthly indicator inspection may be performed by operating personnel; quarterly functional tests and annual comprehensive field testing require competent service. This baseline should be increased in critical areas such as data centers and dusty production environments.

There is an error message on the panel; must field intervention definitely be carried out?

In most cases, we first perform remote preliminary diagnosis: a photograph of the error display, panel model, and information about how long the event has been occurring narrows down the fault source significantly. This way, the team goes to the site with the correct parts and the correct plan, and the work usually finishes in a single visit. Facilities throughout Turkey are scheduled for planned regional service tours.

Is gas discharged when suppression integration is tested?

No. On the XC10 suppression panel, the trigger chain is tested end-to-end with the actuator line disconnected and without gas discharge: cross-zone, delay time, start and blocking buttons, sirens, and status signals are verified this way. Whether the cylinders are full is a separate item; it is measured by weight and pressure verification.

Can we still receive service for our legacy collective Siemens panel?

Yes. We provide maintenance and fault service for FC120 series collective panels and collective field devices. Where parts cannot be sourced, rather than replacing the system overnight, a phased transition plan to Cerberus FIT or PRO is established; since a portion of the existing cabling can often be preserved, the replacement cost and modifications to the installation are significantly reduced.

Is building automation and operations affected during maintenance?

Tests are scheduled in advance with building management; test mode information is provided to the automation side, and scenarios are monitored with actual evacuation and discharge triggers disabled. The scope is kept to the narrowest area possible, and upon completion of work, written confirmation is provided that every item that was deactivated has been restored.
