In the capital of apricots, fire risk presents itself with different facets ranging from the drying area to the cold storage, from the yarn line in the organized industrial zone to the packaging conveyor. We maintain the fire safety systems of your facility in Malatya through planned regional tours with our Ankara-based team, and we provide documented handover for each visit.

The first half hour of a fire in an apricot warehouse

Let us frame the scenario through a Malatya facility: the packing season has closed, the warehouse is filled to the ceiling with cardboard boxes and wooden pallets. An electrical line behind the pallet stack begins to overheat; there is no flame in sight, first only an odor, then thin smoke drifting across the ceiling. This picture can persist for minutes, sometimes hours — by the time flame finally appears, the interior of the stack has already ignited and most of the window for intervention has been consumed in that silent phase.

The same scenario in its fiber bale version plays out in yarn and weaving warehouses in the 1st and 2nd OSB. Malatya's production map already leans on these two sectors: approximately half of Turkey's apricot production comes from this province and hundreds of facilities work from drying to packing; on the OSB side, the weight is in yarn and textiles. The common point of both sectors is that they feed this type of fire that progresses smoldering internally. In Malatya, the value of early detection and water coming into play in the first minute therefore exceeds that of an average manufacturing province.

Cold storage and yarn hall do not carry the same control checklist

Our approach to production facilities factory solutions and storage-warehouse solutions on the pages for health structures hospital solutions is detailed on the page. The typical result of fragmented maintenance is that at the same facility detection is entrusted to one company, sprinklers to another, and the pump group is left in the middle. We do the opposite: from the smoke detection of the apricot warehouse to the dry pipe line of the cold storage, from the hydrant cycle of the yarn mill to the pump station and the gas suppression cylinders in the panel room, everything installed at the facility comes together in a single maintenance contract; maintenance of the cameras monitoring the warehouse corridors (CCTV) is also processed in the same file at the requesting facility.

The dust blinding the detector, the harvest setting the calendar, the frost awaiting the pipe

Dust at the yarn line blinds the detector

In yarn and weaving halls, airborne fiber slowly accumulates in the optical detector's measurement chamber. The first sign is false alarms; the real danger comes later: in an operation accustomed to dismissing every alarm as "just dust again," the panel's word becomes unheeded. On each round, every detector's chamber is opened, fiber buildup is removed, and the sensitivity value is read from the test device; devices that have drifted outside the threshold are written in the report as replacement items. The cleaning interval is determined not by calendar but by the facility's dust load; the selected interval is also documented in the report with its justification.

In the apricot facility, the calendar is set by the harvest

July-August is harvest and processing season; in those weeks, we do not offer anyone a line shutdown. Comprehensive maintenance is scheduled outside the season, and before the season begins we conduct a brief inspection round to verify detection and suppression lines. In drying and oven sections, heat detectors are priority test items; in the packing line, smoke detection and sprinkler are the priorities.

In cold storage, below-zero degrees changes the system itself

In a volume operating at below-zero, standard wet pipe sprinklers freeze; these warehouses are protected with dry pipe or antifreeze systems and their maintenance requires separate knowledge: air pressure and compressor control, condensate discharge, low-temperature compatible detector verification. Insulation panels and door passages are permanent items on the inspection checklist.

Malatya is a planned stop on the eastern route

Our center is in Ankara; we have no branch in Malatya and we do not present a non-existent branch as if it existed. Instead we deploy a functioning route: Malatya maintenance furniture, is placed in the tour window extending eastward; the visit day is clarified in writing beforehand, and since neighboring facilities are grouped on the same route the date becomes predictable, and the same team composition visits the facility at each call. In case of emergency breakdown, the order is clear: remote pre-diagnosis with panel photo and fault code, identification of required parts, then team dispatch — no empty trips are made, nor does the facility wait in uncertainty. You can find other provinces we cover see the service areas on the page; to inquire about the eastern tour calendar You can call reach us from that number.

What remains from the visit are weighed cylinders and measured pressure values

The output of every visit is not a verbal "everything is fine" but a signed document:

  1. System-based maintenance and test forms: detection loop tests, pump activation pressures, cylinder weight and pressure values for gas systems
  2. Photographic list of deficiencies and non-conformities with priority ranking
  3. Separate quotation for parts and refill needs; product equivalents can be found in our product catalog you can see
  4. Next visit date and facility-specific inspection calendar

This file strengthens your facility's position in inspection body audits and insurance processes; maintenance was performed instead of saying that, it shows what was done with its values. For the first step, let us begin by seeing your facility on site and starting with a discovery report itemizing the current condition — to discuss the scope, or send your plan through our you can write to us.

To Set Up Your Maintenance Program

One contract, a solution for everything: we provide end-to-end maintenance to fire detection, gas suppression, sprinkler, hydrant, and pump units in their entirety; if you wish, camera (CCTV) system maintenance can also be added to the same contract.

If you do not have the brand, age, and last maintenance record of the existing system on hand, that is not a problem; the first step is anyway inventory and current condition assessment. Setting up an annual program without seeing what is there in the field means selling maintenance for a system that does not exist.

You can examine your system brand's product equivalents in our product catalog ; for requirements specific to your facility's use class, you can visit our sectoral solutions pages.

For survey and quotation you can or send your plan through our write or directly You can call call the number. Survey is free within Ankara; for facilities throughout Turkey, the visit plan is established jointly before contract.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the brief inspection visit before harvest season cover, and how does it differ from comprehensive maintenance?

Pre-season visit is a verification tour: detection line is validated end-to-end, sprinkler valve positions are checked, pump activation is monitored; the objective is to enter the July-August peak period without surprises. Comprehensive maintenance requiring line shutdown and disassembly is scheduled outside the season, in the autumn-winter window. The date of both visits is confirmed in writing together with the regional tour schedule.

For our yarn storage: is a point-type smoke detector or an air sampling system more appropriate?

It depends on dust and particulate loading. Air sampling (aspiration) system is more resistant to particulates due to its filter, but requires filter and duct maintenance; with point-type detectors, cleaning intervals are shorter. Before removing the existing system, we measure on-site contamination rate and make the decision together based on measurement results.

Our cold storage sprinkler line has never been tested; does testing create a freeze risk?

No, with the correct method. In a dry-pipe system, water is not permanently supplied to the line; testing is conducted via test valve station, compressor and air pressure through the alarm line, with condensate discharge points evacuated. In cold storage, pipe rupture is usually caused not by fire testing but by condensate water that accumulates and freezes.

When the panel shows a fault, our technician recommends shutting down the entire system; is this the correct approach?

No. In remote preliminary diagnosis, only the affected zone is isolated; the panel and remainder of the system remain operational. If necessary, temporary measures are given step-by-step by phone to on-site technical personnel. The team departs after the required component is identified and applies a permanent solution in one visit — the facility is not left unprotected during this process.

Our systems installed after the earthquake are under manufacturer warranty; is a maintenance contract additional expense while warranty is active?

The opposite: manufacturer warranties are typically conditional on documented periodic maintenance; a year without maintenance complicates warranty claims. First-year maintenance also uncovers differences between design and installation and construction defects before warranty expires. Commissioning documentation records the system's initial condition; each subsequent measurement is compared against these values. In insurance proceedings, a regular maintenance file strengthens the facility's position.
