A dual-channel interface unit that converts standard circuit lines to intrinsically safe circuits. Because the energy supplied to the line descending into the hazardous area is limited, cable damage cannot produce an ignition spark. Being dual-channel means two separate safe branches can be powered from a single unit — when two lines are required in the same area, there is no need to position a second converter.
