Active crossover. Divides audio signal into bass, midrange, and treble regions and sends them to separate amplifiers. Active crossover significantly increases both efficiency and clarity because it delivers to each speaker only the frequency range it can handle. Crossover frequencies are adjusted from the front panel and can be locked after installation.
