The DS-2TD2617-3/QA combines two separate imaging sensors—thermal and optical—in a single bullet housing. Because the thermal section responds to temperature differential rather than light, it detects targets in darkness, smoke, and strong backlighting; the optical section records an identifiable image of the event. It is deployed in outdoor areas where heat-related risks are monitored.
