Teknim TWM-1987 Wireless Input/Output Module

TWM-1987 is an input/output module in Teknim's wireless fire detection systems that carries dry contact signals to the panel; with 1 input it monitors the contact of an external device, and with 1 output it delivers a command programmed from the panel. It communicates over 10 channels using the bidirectional, low-power-consumption TLPWAN protocol in the 868 MHz band; its ability to reach approximately 1250 m distance in open areas establishes its position in additional buildings where cabling cannot be run and in building groups located far from each other. The input line is continuously monitored with 33 kΩ termination and 10 kΩ alarm resistance, so break and short circuit are reported to the panel as faults; low battery and sabotage conditions are also reported separately. It is powered by 4 x CR123A batteries and with selectable ping duration targets battery life of up to 8 years. It should not be confused with TWM-1887 which performs the same function: TWM-1987 belongs to the new generation frame, distinguished by 1250 m range and 4 x CR123A battery configuration.
