Active DI box. Converts instrument signal to balanced microphone level and operates with phantom power. Active design provides higher input impedance compared to passive boxes; this preserves the tone of magnetic pickup instruments without distortion. The box is powered by phantom power sent by the mixer and requires no separate adapter.
