Siemens FDX291 Blind Detector (Empty Socket Cover)

FDX291 is a passive blind cap used to close sockets where a detector will not be installed for extended periods. It protects the socket interior from dust and dirt while keeping the socket contact open; therefore, line continuity is not compromised even if no detector is in place. Thanks to its label area, the empty socket can be distinguished at first glance in the field, preventing confusion during post-installation commissioning and maintenance rounds. It is compatible with FDB2xx detector sockets and FDSB29x sounder sockets; order number S54319-F2-A1, weight 0.120 kg. Since it is a cap without electronic content, it does not acquire an address itself and does not appear as a separate device on the panel.
