Siemens FDOOT241-A9-Ex Sinteso Exproof Multi-Sensor Smoke and Heat Detector
FDOOT241-A9-Ex is a point-type detector of the Siemens Sinteso family designed for explosive atmospheres; by combining optical smoke and heat sensing in a single housing, it reduces false alarms in zones where soot, vapor and temperature change occur simultaneously. The protection method is not flameproof enclosure (Ex d) but intrinsically safe circuit principle: it operates in Ex ia IIC T4 Ga class and energy limitation is installed outside the detector. For this reason the product is not commissioned standalone; in addressable installation it connects to the FDnet-Ex line via FDCL221-Ex line adapter, and in collective Ex installation via DC1192 input/output module or SB3 safety barrier placed behind FDCIO223 transponder. The detector declared within EN 54-5 and EN 54-7 scope can be used in FS20, AlgoRex and SIGMASYS with CS11, FC10, XC10 central unit families. For installation, FDB221, FDB201, FDB202 or recessed FDB222 bases are valid; protection class IP43 rises to IP44 when FDBZ295 gasket kit is installed.
