Siemens FDOOT241-9 Sinteso S-LINE Multi-Sensor Smoke and Heat Detector (Dual Protocol)

The FDOOT241-9 is a multi-sensor detector in the Sinteso S-LINE series that measures smoke using two separate optical sensors (forward and backward scattered light) and adds two heat sensors as well. Because data from four sensors is evaluated together, slow smoldering fires can be distinguished from flaming fires, and the probability of false alarms due to steam and dust is reduced. With ASAtechnology, a ready-made parameter set suitable to the environment's characteristics is selected; since the same device can be operated in multi-sensor, smoke-only, or heat-only mode via software, maintaining single-type stock for different areas of a building becomes easier. The enclosure can be connected to both FD20 addressable lines and collective lines, and is documented to EN 54-5, EN 54-7, and EN 54-17 which includes a short-circuit isolator; it also replaces units in FS20 and FC10/FC330A/FC700A panels as well as older systems like AlgoRex and SIGMASYS. Standby current is 65…230 µA, operating range is -25…+70°C; mounting is performed with FDB221, FDB221-AA, FDB222, or FDB291 base, and in humid and wet environments, protection class can be raised to IP44 level with FDBZ295 sealing element or FDB293/FDB295 base adapter.
