Siemens FDOOT241-8M Sinteso Modernization Kit (Detector + FDB281 Adapter Base)

FDOOT241-8M is a modernization kit prepared to renew old MS8/PMT installation without removing bases; the package with order number A5Q00016038 includes FDOOT241-8 multi-sensor smoke detector together with FDB281 base adapter. The detector evaluates forward and backward scatter measured separately by dual optical path together with two heat sensors; from panel software it can be configured to operate as multi-sensor, smoke-only or heat-only. FDB281 is not a base but an adapter inserted between the existing MS8 base remaining in place and the detector — thus only the detector is renewed without touching existing cabling. It operates on MS8 line with DC 14…28 V, quiescent current is 200 µA; with FDB281 it reaches IP44 protection class and permits air velocity of 1…20 m/s.
