Siemens FCA2001-A1 RS232 Module (isolated)

FCA2001-A1 is an isolated module used to connect an environmental unit with RS232 interface to a fire control panel. It is mounted behind the operating unit and its most common application is connecting a FTO2001-A1 event logger to the system. Galvanic isolation prevents ground potential differences that may occur over long serial lines from reaching the control panel electronics. It is required in facilities where event records are printed on paper and audit trail maintenance is necessary.
