Podium microphone. Used by being secured to the speaker's podium. Podium microphones feature a flexible neck and narrow pickup pattern; this combination reduces the return of speaker sound from the room into the microphone. Cable entry is made from the underside of the body and concealed within the podium. The flexible neck is adjusted according to the speaker's height. For operation, phantom power must be enabled on the mixer side.
