Quick Response Concealed Pendent Sprinkler

A quick response head that is recessed into a suspended ceiling and covered below by a decorative cover plate. In a fire, the cover plate falls first, then the head lowers and begins spraying. It is preferred in hotel lobbies, shops, and offices where the appearance of the ceiling is important. Painting the cover plate or applying decoration to it renders the head non-functional — this is the most common impropriety encountered with concealed type heads.
