Optical smoke detector of the ORBIS series. By measuring light scatter caused by smoke entering its chamber, it detects slowly smoldering cable, flooring, and fabric fires long before flames appear. It is the standard device for spaces that normally remain smoke-free during operation such as offices, corridors, bedrooms, and storage areas.
