MT 7124 is the power control and battery charging unit of the Westsound voice alarm system; while mains power is present it charges an external 24 V battery of up to 100 Ah and stops charging when it is full. When the mains fails it switches in automatically and keeps powering the central unit and the system at 24 V; it fits a 19-inch rack. The standby time is determined by the battery capacity.
