ML-2180 is a conventional active air sampling smoke detector that draws and samples air from the protected volume through a pipe. Its difference from the addressable version is its installation in a conventional zone configuration and its ability to operate with four piping schemes including H-type. It is used in ventilation ducts and volumes where early smoke detection is required. Thanks to warning, pre-alarm, and two-stage fire levels, personnel are alerted before smoke reaches dangerous density.
