ML-2170/M is a marine type conventional beam type smoke detector consisting of receiver and transmitter units positioned facing each other. Its difference from the reflector version is the mutual mounting of two active units and the ability to scan long spans with a single beam. It is installed in locations where point detectors are insufficient, such as cargo holds, ro-ro decks, and large engine spaces. Since two units perform the work of dozens of devices in high-ceiling areas, the installation is simplified.
