ML-2170 is a conventional beam type smoke detector with separate receiver and transmitter units; the two units are positioned facing each other at intervals of 5-100 meters. Its advantage over the reflector model is that a single beam can monitor an area of up to 1,240 square meters. It is installed in high-volume spaces such as warehouses, shopping centers, and sports halls. Its dust compensation structure allows the device to self-adjust as dust accumulates and reduces false alarms.
