This fixed temperature detector is a model in the intrinsically safe conventional series that performs detection based on heat. Its difference from smoke-based counterparts is that it responds when ambient temperature reaches the threshold, completely disregarding smoke. It is used in hazardous production areas where steam, dust, and exhaust gas are necessarily present. Since spurious alarms generated by optical sensors are not seen in these environments, protection can be maintained without disabling detection.
