ML-2110.IS is an optical smoke detector connected to a conventional zone circuit in volumes classified as explosive atmospheres. Its difference from heat-sensing models in the family is that it recognizes fire from smoke particles. It is manufactured for locations where ATEX conditions are required, such as chemical production and storage areas. Its intrinsically safe design keeps the energy in the circuit below the ignition threshold, allowing the area to be directly monitored where a standard detector cannot be installed.
