ML-1810.SCI/M is a marine-type addressable water leak detector containing a short circuit isolator. It assumes the same detection task as the non-isolator version; the difference is that it also contributes to circuit protection against short circuits. It is preferred in damp, water-exposure-prone, and high-cable-damage-risk compartments. In these environments where water stresses the cable, the isolator prevents a potential short circuit from silencing the entire circuit.
