This device is the version of the addressable emergency call point operated by pulling a cord that incorporates a short circuit isolator. Its advantage over the isolator-free version is that in case of a short circuit on the line, it isolates its own section, allowing other devices to continue being monitored. It is used in passenger ships with long corridors and numerous wet spaces. Thus, a single cable fault does not silence all warning points throughout the vessel.
