An equipped version of the IP65 protected addressed beacon with a short-circuit isolator added to its housing. This allows it to be installed both in locations exposed to external conditions and to electrically segment the loop at its location. It is preferred in places such as open deck, fo'c'sle, and external stairway landings where moisture and salt occur together. In external locations where cable terminations experience the greatest stress, having the isolator within the device prevents the entire loop from failing.
