An enhanced version of the IP33 protected addressed beacon that also includes a short-circuit isolator. The device carrying its own isolator facilitates dividing long loops containing numerous pieces of equipment into segments. It is located in moisture-prone service corridors of maritime vessels and covered passage areas. Since a short circuit occurring at one device or cable termination does not bring down the entire loop, the remaining portion of the vessel is protected until the fault is remedied.
