This loop-powered audible warning device is defined as a single address in the addressable system and operates according to programmed scenarios. What distinguishes it from the standard version is that the short circuit isolator, covered under EN 54-17, is built into the device. Short circuits in external lines caused by cable crushing or water ingress affect only the relevant section, not the entire loop. This prevents the rest of the building from going silent due to a single fault in an open area.
