ML-1380 short circuit isolator module is used approximately once every 20 addressable devices on the loop, preventing the entire loop from being disabled in the event of a short circuit. When a short circuit occurs, the module isolates the faulty section and the remainder of the line continues to operate. This is the fundamental protective measure that prevents a single cable fault from disabling detection across an entire floor.
