This monitor module interfaces a conventional detector zone line to an intelligent addressable control panel. It differs from its contact-monitoring counterpart in that its input is configured to monitor the detector zone. It is used in renovation projects where existing wiring is preserved and in subsequently added sections. Since it can be connected to the control panel without removing the operating zone cabling, system upgrade time is reduced and downtime is minimized.
