ML-1362.SCI/M, which connects a single contact input to an addressable circuit, carries a short circuit isolator in its housing. The isolator built into the module prevents short circuits from spreading to neighboring devices. It is used at the endpoints of circuits in ship and cargo vessel lines requiring marine-certified equipment. Since it provides both an address and protection to a single monitoring point, there is no need to open a separate isolator branch on the line.
