This GCU module transmits event information from the addressable fire control panel over GPRS to the cellular network and is certified for marine vessels. In installations where wired network cannot be run or where the monitoring point is remote from the vessel, it replaces sister models. The 3A power supply is contained within the unit. Transmission of alarm and fault information via mobile line enables the shore-based technical team to assess the situation without traveling to the vessel.
