ML-1140/M is a marine-type addressable multi-sensor detector that houses both an optical smoke cell and a temperature sensor under a single address. Its difference from single-measurement models is that it combines two data points to make a fire decision. It is installed in locations where both indicators are observed, such as cabins, corridors, and general volumes. The dual-sensor decision structure prevents cigarette smoke or temporary heating, which are frequently encountered on ships, from triggering evacuation alarms.
