ML-1140 is an intelligent addressable multisensor detector with an optical smoke cell and temperature sensor in the same housing. Its advantage over single-measurement models is that it interprets the data from both sensors together. It is used in locations where false alarms are costly, such as hotels, shopping centers, and assembly areas. When only one of smoke or heat increases, the decision is not hastened, so temporary effects do not result in evacuation alarms.
