ML-1110.SCI/M is a marine-type intelligent addressable optical smoke detector with a short-circuit isolator in its housing. It uses the same smoke cell as the version without isolator; the difference is that it isolates the faulty section from itself in case of short circuit. It is preferred on decks and in long-run, mechanically stressed lines. Since a single crushed cable due to vibration or impact does not collapse the entire circuit, protection of other areas continues during navigation.
