ML-0141/M is a marine-certified socket that supports ML series detectors and contains a buzzer inside. Its distinguishing feature from the plain socket is that when the detector enters alarm, it provides an audible alert from its location. It is useful in cabins with closed doors and in small volumes protected by a single detector. Since the alert comes directly from below the detector, there is no need to run a separate siren to that area.
