This is the short circuit isolator equipped version of the eight-channel 4-20 mA input module; it transfers signals from analog output gas and flame detectors to the addressed loop. Each channel can be allocated to a separate device, and the module is defined by addressing device software. The isolator inside isolates only the faulty section during a short circuit in the loop. This prevents a single cable fault in process areas distributed across long runs from stopping all monitoring.
