LaserSense 25 is an ultra-compact aspirating (air-sampling) smoke detector. It uses laser forward light scattering; the ClassiFire artificial-intelligence system learns the normal behaviour of the environment and sets the sensitivity itself, so the same unit runs at high sensitivity in a computer room and at reduced sensitivity in a smoky area. It picks up thinned-out smoke that a point detector cannot see; the enclosure sits discreetly above a suspended ceiling or inside a cabinet, which is why it is used in server rooms, equipment racks and data storage areas. One sampling pipe of up to 50 m (25 m in moving air) with up to 10 holes; RS-485 communication is built in as standard. It is an indoor detector rated IP40, EN 54-20 compliant and CPR and VdS approved.
