Detector socket with internal short-circuit isolator. When a short circuit occurs in the circuit, the faulty section is limited to the area between isolators, and devices in the rest of the line continue to operate. For detectors that do not carry the isolator themselves, this protection is provided by the socket; addressing is still performed with the XPERT card.
