The SDP-3 duct probe housing enables monitoring of air in ventilation ducts using standard smoke detectors and comes with a 0.6 meter sampling tube. The ventilation system is the fastest route by which smoke spreads throughout a building during a fire; duct detection intercepts this spread early, triggering fan shutdown and damper closure scenarios. The ability to use standard detectors reduces inventory and maintenance burden.
