GST-DEF-KEY is a CPU-based security hardware that protects the definition database of GST-DEF configuration software. Without the hardware key, an unauthorized person is prevented from launching the software. The configuration of the fire panel is the most critical data that determines how the system will behave; unauthorized changes may cause the alarm to go to the wrong zone or not activate at all.
