An external filter unit that can be mounted on the sampling tube of all FAAST aspirating detection systems in Honeywell's Esser range. By separating coarse dust before it enters the device, it extends the service life of the internal filter and measurement chamber. Its body measuring 44 x 60 x 294 millimeters weighs approximately 225 grams and operates between -30 and 70 °C. On production lines with high dust load, it reduces the frequency of interventions requiring the device to be opened.
