Honeywell's Esser brand manufactures this button in intrinsically safe Ex (i) design for use in explosive atmospheres. The electronic module and detector housing come together and are connected to a conventional zone. Its large housing allows comfortable pressing even with gloved hands; protection class up to IP 55 enables it to operate in humid spaces. It is preferred in paint booths, fuel filling areas, and chemical facility corridors.
