The O2T combines optical sensors measuring at two different scattering angles with its heat sensor; it perceives different events from smoldering fire to open flame with equal sensitivity. Because it classifies the smoke signal, false alarms caused by water vapor and dust become rare. It can operate even in spaces where temperature rises to +65 °C. It is commissioned with VdS-approved preset parameter sets for locations such as parking lots, halls, clean rooms, and hotel rooms.
