Esser 784871 RS422/RS485 Selectable Interface Module

A serial communication module in which the interface type can be selected in the field; the same card can be configured as either RS422 or RS485. It is preferred in installations requiring long-line transmission or where multiple devices share the same data bus. It operates with 3.3 V DC power supply and draws approximately 35 mA of current. The ability of a single card to support both interfaces reduces the variety of spare parts that must be kept in stock for a project.
