Serial interface connecting Honeywell Esser control panel family models 800x, IQ8Control, and FlexES Control to external systems. Connection is established via TTY or RS232/RS485 depending on application; in bidirectional operating systems, remote control capability is also available. When an essernet module is installed, it functions as an independent node within the network. Its ability to consolidate control panels of different generations under the same software protects investment in phased replacement projects.
