The receiver unit of the OSID system supplied by Honeywell under the Esser brand; it monitors open spaces for smoke in conjunction with a transmitter placed opposite it. Its evaluation of infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths through optical filters and high-speed image capture gives it the ability to eliminate false alarms caused by dust and vapor sources. This model has a 7° viewing angle and is matched with a single transmitter. Settings are configured in the field via DIP switches.
