The EFIRE ECD series is a conventional combined detector that evaluates both smoke and temperature rise in a single unit. Since it uses two detection methods together, it is preferred in spaces where a smoke-only or heat-only detector would be insufficient. It is connected to a zone line and is not addressable; alarm is transmitted to the panel via the zone it is connected to.
